It's Worth a Shot: Vaccine Uptake Among an Immunosuppressed Dermatology Cohort

Adult patients diagnosed with chronic inflammatory skin disease are at a higher risk of vaccine-preventable diseases. Vaccination-seeking behaviours were lower than anticipated in this study, with a little over two-thirds of patients describing themselves as very likely to seek each of the flu, pneumococcal, and COVID-19 vaccination. Vaccine hesitancy among the high-risk group of immunosuppressed Dermatology patients is an issue that should be highlighted and concerns raised by this group regarding vaccines should be addressed sensitively.
