Foreign and domestic practices of revitalization of abandoned industrial zones of the city: directions and prospects

Revitalization implies the revival of abandoned areas, filling them with new content, improving the quality of the urban environment. Unused industrial zones of the city are subject to revitalization, new architectural, urban planning and planning solutions are needed to restore such areas. The types of revitalization are considered. The key areas of revitalization of urban industrial zones are disclosed: for social and residential development, social and business development, eco-directed industrial facilities, recreational green spaces. Examples of domestic and foreign practices of revitalization of former production areas, construction of various objects of a new functional purpose are presented. A new direction of revitalization is the creation of innovative complexes with an ecological function - ecotechnoparks. The concept of creating such a technopark on the basis of the former plant has been proposed.
