Abstract

Molecularly imprinted polymers and non‐imprinted polymers based on attapulgite and graphene composite were synthesized by coating with copolymer of acrylamide and methyl methacrylate. The adsorption results showed that the molecularly imprinted polymers and non‐imprinted polymers could reach the maximum drug loading of 2.4 and 1.6 mg/g, respectively. The in vitro release studies demonstrated that molecularly imprinted polymers and non‐imprinted polymers can control the release of 5‐fluorouracil and reach maximum release at approximately 48 h. Cytotoxicity analysis showed that 100 μg/mL of molecularly imprinted polymers loaded with 5‐fluorouracil gradually increased the inhibition rate of HeLa with increasing time and approached the maximum inhibition rate of 20 % at 72 h.
