AbstractIn this letter, a novel numerical algorithm is proposed for analyzing the composite right‐/left‐handed (CRLH) transmission line (TL). The proposed algorithm adopts the precise‐integration time‐domain technique to construct the update equation, overcomes the Courant–Friedrich–Levy (CFL) stability condition, and solves the CRLH TL equations in an explicit way. The implementation of the proposed algorithm is simple and straightforward. Numerical results validate that the proposed algorithm can solve CRLH TL equations correctly when large time steps are used, and improves computational efficiency compared with the conventional FDTD method.
