The present inquiry emerges from the author’s journey of writing a PhD dissertation at the intersection of posthumanism and translation studies. It engages with the uncertainties, tensions and ambiguities encountered when attempting to do research otherwise, trying to push the AcademicUniversityMachine forward. It strives to

beyond anthropocentric and humanist regimes of thought. The paper’s architecture resists conventional linear scaffolding, and the reader is encouraged to navigate how postfoundational approaches like posthumanism invite us to research otherwise, pushing the boundaries of translation studies towards a more pluralistic horizon. This is the story of a researcher caught in the paradox of satisfying institutional imperatives while simultaneously unlearning the very structures that stifle creative emergence. It is not a recipe on how to do postqualitative, diffractive inquiry in translation but an invitation to imagine doing research differently.
