Urgent Call for Research on International Trade in Human Beings

International human trade is a dark side of international business that has largely been ignored. With a rapid globalization, these activities have intensified to become a global phenomenon in the past two decades. This article deals with this aspect of trade and investment that many wish did not exist. However, the global trade in humans is now far bigger than the trade in illegal drugs, so can we afford to ignore it? This article makes a strong case for international business scholars playing a leading role in understanding all aspects of international activities, including the unpleasant ones.
