Upper bound on the multiplicity of eigenvalues of the Schrödinger–Dirichlet operator in dimension two

We establish an upper bound on the multiplicity of eigenvalues of the Schrödinger–Dirichlet operator in dimension two. We give a proof based on a generalized Morse Lemma due to Cheng [3].
