Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease associated with chronic inflammation, affecting various organs of the body. Renal involvement in SLE is very common, with characteristic kidney biopsy findings suggestive of lupus nephritis. It is a major risk factor for overall mortality and morbidity in SLE. Thus, prompt diagnosis and early treatment in such patients is crucial. Here, we describe two patients of SLE, who had unexpectedly rare findings on kidney biopsy.
