Unexpected Right Ventricular Uptake: A Sign of Pulmonary Hypertension from a Large Pulmonary Embolism

Pulmonary embolism can be seen in patients with malignancy. Positron Emission Tomography/ Computerized Tomography (PET/CT) can show hypermetabolic activity in the right ventricle in patients with pulmonary embolism and right ventricular strain, representing a physiologic response to pressure overload rather than cardiac malignancy.
