UK air quality showed clear improvement from 2015 to 2024 but breaching of targets remains very common
James Weber, Helen F. DacreNO2 and PM2.5 pollution has improved over the last decade but remains too high while O3 pollution has worsened. NO2 is dominated by local sources, PM2.5 by transport from further afield and O3 by a combination of both.
