Two New Species of Lonchaeidae (Diptera: Schizophora) from Guadeloupe

Two new species of Lonchaeidae in the genus Lonchaea, namely Lonchaea desirade sp. nov. and Lonchaea minutissima sp. nov., are described from the island of Guadeloupe in the Lesser Antilles, an island group in the southern Caribbean Sea. The genitalia of the new species are figured, and comparison is made with other similar species in the Neotropical fauna. Previous lonchaeid records for the Caribbean islands are reviewed.
