Towards a coherent multilateral framework on FDI

This article seeks to analyse the complexity related to the implementation of a coherent multilateral framework on FDI. In a first section, the current situation of international investment framework will be analysed and presented. A second part will examine the various multilateral initiatives taken in the field of international investment and toward multilateral investment agreement. Finally, in a last section, the article will explore the issues for achieving a coherent international framework on foreign investment and gives some possible next steps to undertake in order to have more coherent international normative framework governing FDI.
