TO THE ISSUE OF PNEUMATIC TIRE DEFORMATION DURING WHEEL ROLLING
Viktor Gudkov, Pavel SokolThe article discusses the processes of complex deformation of a pneumatic tire with the simultaneous action of external forces, moments and reactions under various modes of wheel rolling. Complex processes of pneumatic tire sliding along contact area at its loading, peculiarities of load distribution along its elements at sliding along bearing surface and change of rolling modes are analyzed. Processes of tire sliding at its preliminary static loading, order of distribution of surface deformations with energy losses and their influence on values of tangential stresses are considered. It has been proved that the deformation of the tire surface layer is uneven and causes significant tangential stresses limited by the adhesion of its elements to the support surface.
