Three New Leaf Beetle Species of Cryptocephalinae (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae: Clytrini and Cryptocephalini) from China
Hongzhang Zhou, Wenyuan Duan, Fengyan WangThis paper describes three new species of the leaf beetle subfamily Cryptocephalinae Gyllenhal, 1813 (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) from China: one in the tribe Clytrini Kirby, 1837, Coptocephala xinjiangensis Zhou, Duan & Wang, sp. nov. from Xinjiang, and the other two in the tribe Cryptocephalini Gyllenhal, 1813, Cryptocephalus (Cryptocephalus) subtricinctus Zhou, Duan & Wang, sp. nov. from Hainan, and Cryptocephalus (Cryptocephalus) latitarsus Zhou, Duan & Wang, sp. nov. from Yunnan and Sichuan. A key to all six Chinese species of the genus Coptocephala Lacordaire is provided. For three new species, we provided colour illustrations and line drawings of general habitus and other detailed structures to benefit future identification and taxonomic studies. All the types of the new species are deposited in the collection of the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZ-CAS).
