Thermal Pyrolysis of Plastic Waste into Fuel

Abstract

Recently, tackling with the twin problem of energy conversion and environmental protection has gained the attention of researchers globally. One of the most attractive alternate solutions to these problems is pyrolysis of plastic waste into useful fuels (gas and diesel). It is an efficient waste management technique for converting plastic waste into energy and thereby contributing in the development of a sustainable alternative to the fossil fuels to meet the increasing energy demand. This chapter enlightens the prospect and significance of the thermal pyrolysis of plastic waste into fuel oil.
