The International Society for Microbial Ecology launches ISME Host Microbe, a new journal dedicated to the ecology of host–microbe interactions. ISME Host Microbe frames hosts as dynamic ecological systems where microbial communities shape outcomes ranging from health to disease. By promoting integrative, systems-level approaches across organisms and environments, it aligns with One Health and global change agendas. ISME Host Microbe aims to catalyze interdisciplinary research in the pursuit of advancing microbiome science.
