THE INTEGRATED ENVIRONMENT FOR SPECIFYING AND REUSING IDENTICAL AND DIFFERENT TYPES OF SYSTEMS DIAGRAMS

Ryo Kawabata, Tadashi Yagame, Kiyoshi Itoh

In systems analysis, various diagrams are described for the target system from many view points. In general, these diagrams are described not from scratch but described by reusing the diagrams that are similar to the target system in structure. In the course of systems analysis, the different types of diagrams are described. The diagrams are empirically described by reusing the components and/or the relationships in other types of diagrams described in the previous stage of the analysis. It is required to retrieve a similar diagram from many diagrams described in the past. When the identical diagram is not found, the diagram is described by reusing elements in the different types of diagrams. The authors propose the integrated environment for specifying and reusing identical and different types of diagrams.
