The influence of modern biomaterials on the processes of preventing peri-implantitis

The analysis of domestic and foreign scientific literature has been carried out in order to substantiate the influence of modern biomaterials on the processes of bone tissue regeneration in peri-implantitis. The search for publications was carried out in the databases PubMed, Scopus, RSCI, Google Scholar by keywords: “periimplantitis”, “implantation complications”, “biomaterials”, “bone regeneration”. 180 publications have been studied. After a full-text analysis, 27 works matching the search criteria were selected. Of these, 2 (7%) papers describe the etiology, pathogenesis, and approaches to the treatment and prevention of peri-implantitis, while 25 (93%) describe the properties of various nanobiomaterials for dental implantation.
