The History Of Policing In Indonesia

This article describes Pusjarah Polri. The study employed interviews with the members of Pusjarah Polri. Pusjarah plays a role in preserving and transmitting the values of Indonesian policing history. Pusjarah Polri operates beyond heritage preservation. It becomes a department that shapes the identity and the legitimacy of the INP. This study suggests that future research on the history of policing is warranted. The writing on policing in Indonesia can add evidence that policing in Indonesia has been in place from the pre-colonial era to the present day. This evidence will enhance the understanding of the history of policing in Indonesia.
