The genome sequence of the Ling Runner, Scythris empetrella Karsholt & Nielsen, 1976 (Lepidoptera: Scythrididae)

James E. Hammond, , , , , , ,
We present a genome assembly from an individual female Scythris empetrella (Ling Runner; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Scythrididae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 553.36 megabases and 488.82 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (98.89%) was scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.27 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
