We present a genome assembly of Saxifraga aizoides (Yellow Saxifrage; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Saxifragales; Saxifragaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,445.08 megabases and 1,438.94 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (98.6%) was scaffolded into 13 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 545.89 and 76.08 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 152.0 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 31,254 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
