We present a genome assembly from an individual female Chaetocnema hortensis (flea beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Chrysomelidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 384.62 megabases and 383.80 megabases. The haplotype 1 assembly and the haplotype 2 assembly each contain 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome; these account for 93.56% and 93.72% of their respective sequences. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 19.64 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
