The Future of Craniosynostosis Treatment
Shelby Nathan, Jesse GoldsteinAbstract
Craniosynostosis management has been defined by calvarial vault remodeling, which includes both open and, more recently, endoscope-assisted techniques. However, a new generation of technologies is reshaping diagnosis, surgical intervention, and the biological basis of treatment. This study will highlight three emerging frontiers, including machine learning platforms, advances in resorbable devices, and preclinical genetic studies. These new technologies and techniques will help guide craniosynostosis care toward more personalized, less invasive, and potentially preventative management and outcomes.
