The Effects of Beauty Education and Work Environment on Organizational Commitment of Beauty Service Workers
Hye-Suk HanThis study empirically analyzed the effects of beauty education and the work environment on the organizational commitment of beauty service workers, identifying these factors as key drivers for human resource management and the sustainable growth of the modern beauty industry. To achieve this, a survey was conducted among 291 professionals in the beauty industry. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 through frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, beauty education perceived by workers was found to have a significant positive impact on organizational commitment, proving that a systematic educational system is an essential requirement for enhancing dedication to the organization. Second, all sub-factors of the work environment—including fairness and rewards, physical environment, interpersonal relations, and welfare stability—positively influenced organizational commitment. In particular, the influence of the compensation system and the quality of the physical workspace was found to be relatively substantial. Third, descriptive statistics revealed that while workers rated their interpersonal relationships within the organization most highly, they recognized a clear need for improvement regarding fairness and rewards. These findings provide fundamental data for establishing efficient human resource management strategies and implementing educational programs that strengthen the psychological attachment of personnel. Ultimately, this study suggests that improving working conditions is vital for reducing turnover rates and enhancing service quality in the beauty field.
