THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFECT OF LIQUID ORAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS IN PERIODONTAL PATIENTS
Sergey Ulitovskiy, Vladimir Sadovski, Sergey Lovtsevich, Olga Kalinina, Yulia Ageeva, Svyatoslav BezrodniyWhen studying the effect of the anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of liquid oral hygiene products on periodontal patients using the PRESIDENT® Profi Duozinc Active mouthwash for 30 days, the method included an objective assessment of the periodontal microbiocenosis using microbial marker mass spectrometry, which demonstrated the widespread presence of various microorganisms in addition to the main periodontal pathogens in the lesions of periodontal patients. This method also allowed for an objective assessment of the antimicrobial and antifungal effectiveness of the PRESIDENT® Profi Duozinc Active mouthwash. 63 people participated in the clinical testing of oral hygiene products, of which 30 people were examined before and after using PRESIDENT® Profi Duozinc Active mouthwash. Changes in anti-inflammatory efficacy according to the PMA index (1960) and hemostatic efficacy according to the Muchlemann and Son index (1971) were evaluated. and the regenerative effectiveness according to the index of the severity of periodontal tissue inflammation according to the index ( Ulitovsky S.B., Shevtsov A.V., 2025), the anti-inflammatory and regenerative effectiveness of the used mouthwash was evaluated. Materials and methods. A scientific study of the microbiota of periodontal pockets in relation to 39 microorganisms by species and genera was evaluated using mass spectrometry of microbial markers. Results. Over the entire period of use of the "PRESIDENT® Profi Duozinc Active" rinse aid, the anti-inflammatory effectiveness increased from 8.46 ±0.68% to 23.61 ±1.88%, the hemostatic effectiveness increased from 9.18 ±0.73% to 26.09 ±2.33%, the anti-inflammatory and regenerating effectiveness increased from 9.63 ±0.77% to 24.89 ±2.00%, the use of the rinse aid was statistically accompanied by significant changes in the oral microbiome, which indicates its specific antimicrobial activity. Active mouthwash reduces inflammation and bleeding of the soft tissues of the mouth, increases the regenerative effect, and significantly reduces the pathogenic microbial flora in the inflammatory site.
