The effectiveness of supervisory support in enhancing school evaluation processes from the perspective of school leaders.
Mohammad AlromaihThe study aimed to identify the degree of effectiveness of supervisory support in enhancing school evaluation processes from the perspective of school leaders. The quantitative descriptive analytical approach has been used as the study methodology. The study sample consisted of (57) school leaders from the West educational Office of Buraidah city in AlQassim region, Saudi Arabia. The structured questionnaire has been employed as the study instrument. The study results concluded that the effectiveness of supervisory support in enhancing school evaluation processes and empowering the school was varied; It has been "effective" in the area of "learning outcomes," "school leadership and student guidance" and "teaching and learning", while were "average effectiveness" in supporting the "school environment". Furthermore, it has been found that there were no statistically significant differences between participants' responses depending on the study variables "school type" (boys or girls), "number of students" and "educational stage" with regard to the effectiveness of support directed to the school in aspects of supporting "school leadership", "teaching and learning" and "learning outcomes". While it has been found that there were statistically significant differences between participants' responses depending on the study variables "school type" (boys/girls) and "number of students" with regard to the effectiveness of supporting the "school environment," in favor of schools with (300 students or more) and boys' schools. In conclusion, the study recommended strengthening supervisory support processes in some areas and including them in the supervisory support model.
