THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MICROBIOLOGICAL PREPARATIONS USE ON PASTURE STANDS

Elena Pryadil'schikova, Vera Vahrusheva

The aim of the study is to determine the effects of microbiological preparations in powder and liquid form, based on the gram-positive spore-forming bacterium Bacillus subtilis strain Ch-13, on the productivity and nutritional value of perennial pasture grasses in the Vologda Region. An experiment with perennial pasture grasses was conducted at the Northwestern Research Institute of Forestry and Agriculture from 2022 to 2024. The study utilized mineral fertilizers and the microbiological preparations Bisolbi-T and Extrasol. The mechanism of action of these biopreparations is based on their multifaceted effects on plants, thanks to the wide range of metabolites they produce with various physiological effects. Microbiological treatments were applied according to the manufacturers' instructions and the experimental design for specific treatments. Dry seed inoculation was performed before sowing; mineral fertilizers were modified with a powdered preparation during the grass use years; and foliar application with a liquid preparation was performed during the early tillering phase of each application cycle. N45P60K90 was applied during the first year of grass growth. From the second year onward, N90P60K90, N120P60K90, N150P60K90. were applied. The use of microbiological preparations in powder and liquid form contributed to a positive impact on the productivity and nutritional value of perennial pasture grasses in the Vologda Region. When mineral fertilizers were modified with Bisolbi-T, pasture grass yields increased by up to 20 % compared to the control, while those treated with Extrasol increased yields by up to 16 %. The use of Bisolbi-T resulted in an increase in feed units by up to 21 % and metabolizable energy by up to 20 %. The addition of Extrasol increased the feed units and metabolizable energy by up to 20 %, increasing the yield by up to 17 %.
