Hadeel Ahmed Ibrahim WaqadThis study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a training program based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to develop 21st-century skills among female student teachers at the Department of Early Childhood in the College of Education, Umm Al-Qura University. To achieve its objective, the study employed a quasi-experimental design within an experimental methodology. The study sample consisted of (23) female students from the Department of Early Childhood in the College of Education, Umm Al-Qura University. A guide for the NGSS-based training program was developed, and a 21st-century skills questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The study concluded that the training program based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) was effective in developing 21st-century skills among the female student teachers at the Department of Early Childhood in the College of Education, Umm Al-Qura University. This was evident across all skills included in the assessment: (Learning and Innovation Skills, Information, Media, and Digital Literacy Skills, and Life and Career Skills), as well as in the overall score.
