MATERIALS AND METHODS:
This research is a quasi-experiment using a posttest only control group design. The population consists of grade XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 4 Maros, totaling seven classes. Sampling was conducted randomly, selecting class XI MIPA 5 as the experimental group and XI MIPA 6 as the control group. These classes were chosen because students at this level begin to study more complex chemistry topics, such as hydrocarbon compounds.
RESULTS:
Descriptive analysis showed that the average learning outcomes of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group. Inferential statistical analysis was then conducted, preceded by normality and homogeneity tests. The results confirmed that data from both groups came from homogeneous populations.
CONCLUSION:
Based on the data analysis, the null hypothesis (H
