The Deception at Red Line University: The Lack of Integrity in Educational Administration

Johnny D. Jones

Abstract

Red Line University, a historically prestigious institution in West Texas, was embroiled in scandal when its administration concealed the loss of accreditation. This case study examines the actions of key figures, including President Dr. Girlly and Accreditation Liaison Dr. Boo, whose deceptive practices undermined stakeholder trust and the university’s integrity. Provost Dr. Johnson’s reactive measures and the advocacy efforts of the Student Government Association (SGA) President are analyzed to illustrate the consequences of administrative dishonesty. Through this exploration, the study highlights the ethical implications of a lack of transparency and offers actionable lessons for higher education leaders on maintaining trust and integrity during crises.
