Introduction. The demands of modern society require that people possess qualities such as creativity, independence, responsibility, and the ability to solve non-standard tasks. Consequently, educational strategies are increasingly focusing on developing autonomy, cognitive activity, and creativity rather than simply communicating information. Materials and methods of research. This study mainly used general scientific research methods, with a particular focus on literature review, observation, systematization, and data synthesis. As part of the qualitative research, students' activities were monitored and a thorough analysis of the available literature was carried out. The main goal was to clarify the content and essence of the «musical-creative abilities of younger schoolchildren» in the context of teaching sand animation. The results of the study. The results obtained emphasize the relationship between innate predispositions, developed skills and creative involvement in the development of musical-creative potential, especially in the context of such types of musical, artistic and creative activities as sand animation. Musical-creative abilities are a complex and synthesis of musical-creative components that are the basis for the development of conscious and motivated activity. Conclusions. The essence and content of the concept of musical-creative abilities of younger schoolchildren in teaching sand animation involves the development of innate musical-creative inclinations, active participation in creativity and the ability to convey concepts, feelings and stories through a combination of sound and visual effects. Development is fueled by the interaction of auditory perception, emotional attraction, imagination, and purposeful learning. The musical-creative abilities of younger schoolchildren, developed through sand animation, include musical abilities, creative abilities and their interaction, and specific musical-creative abilities.
