Abstract
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy or stress cardiomyopathy is a sudden transient cardiac syndrome that shows left ventricular apical akinesis and mimics acute coronary syndrome. Coronary flow is normal. We describe the case of a 28-year-old male who encountered an electric shock at home, and after that, developed acute chest pain and palpitations. His cardiac markers were raised, and his electrocardiogram revealed myocardial ischemia. The epicardial flow was found to be normal after coronary angiography. Takotsubo cardiomyopathy was identified as the cause.
