Tailoring triplet energy transfer and Förster resonance energy transfer in boron dipyrromethene modified lanthanide doped upconversion nanohybrids

Boron dipyrromethene modified upconversion nanoparticle nanohybrids are synthesised to engineer singlet or triplet energy transfer processes, leading to over 800-times increase in upconversion quantum yield and efficient singlet oxygen generation.
