Synthetic Studies toward Neotatarine

A modular synthesis of a deoxy neotatarine congener is achieved by an intramolecular [4 + 3] oxyallyl cycloaddition of a furan. The synthesis makes use of two cross-coupling reactions of readily available building blocks and is modular, scalable, and amenable to structural modifications.
