ABSTRACT

Synthesis of trisubstituted isoxazole derivatives was reported in an operationally simple one‐pot two‐step procedure via Knoevenagel condensation and Michael addition in sequence using 3,5‐dimethyl‐4‐nitroisoxazole, aryl aldehydes, and cyclic‐1,3‐diketones. This method has several additional advantages such as simple operation, mild reaction conditions, large substrate scope, diverse functional group tolerance, good yields, and gram‐scale synthesis.
