Cu‐SAPO‐34 catalysts are widely utilized in NH 3 ‐SCR technology. In order to further enhance the denitrification performance of Cu‐SAPO‐34 catalysts, a second metal ion was introduced to prepare Cu‐SAPO‐34 catalyst modified by rare earth metal La. The CuLa‐SAPO‐34 molecular sieve catalysts were prepared by a one‐step method and tested for activity comparison and characterization with the unmodified catalysts. The catalysts were characterized by using characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, XPS, H 2 ‐TPR, and NH 3 ‐TPD. It was found that La improves the high temperature activity of the catalyst and the introduction of La favors the formation of acid sites while inhibiting the formation of CuO.
