Synthesis of Axially Chiral α-Aminophosphine Oxides via Dynamic Kinetic Three-Component Kabachnik–Fields Reactions

A dynamic kinetic three-component Kabachnik–Fields reaction of the biaryl lactols, amines, and H-phosphine oxides is established by using anionic stereogenic-at-cobalt(III) complexes as catalysts, affording a variety of axially chiral α-aminophosphine oxides with good yields and stereoselectivities (26 examples, up to 88% yield, 96:4 e.r., and >20:1 d.r.).
