Synthesis of a Mixed Bis(imino)acenaphthene (BIAN) Ligand Using Aluminum Transfer Reagents

Cowley, Michael FindlaterAminoalane and iminoalane transfer reagents are employed in the synthesis of ketoimines based upon an acenaphthene scaffold. One of the ketoimine species is subsequently used as a precursor for the synthesis of a mixed-BIAN ligand which features both perfluorophenyl- and tert-butyl substituents.
