Synthesis of 1,4‐Dihydroquinolines via [4 + 2] Annulation of Aminobenzylphosphonium Salts With Ethyl Benzoylacetate Derivatives
Yun‐Xing Zhong, Zhen‐Zhong Zhang, Liang Cui, Shao‐Wei Zhou, Ping‐Gui Li, Liang‐Hua ZouA novel synthetic strategy for the preparation of 1,4‐dihydroquinolines has been developed through [4 + 2] annulation of aminobenzylphosphonium salts (ABPS) with ethyl benzoylacetate derivatives. This protocol features mild reaction conditions, readily available starting materials, broad substrate scope, and good to excellent yields.
