Synthesis of 1,1′‐Biaryl‐5,5′‐Bis‐1,2,3‐Triazoles by t ‐BuOK‐Promoted Reactions of 1,4‐Bis(trimethylsilyl)butadiyne With Aryl Azides and Their Conversion to 3H
Yibin Wang, Xinying Luo, Liuran Li, Yuxue Chen, Fengjuan Chen, Luyong WuA method has been developed for facile synthesis of novel symmetric 1,1′‐biaryl‐5,5′‐bis‐1,2,3‐triazoles, using a process involving potassium tert ‐butoxide ( t ‐BuOK) promoted reaction of 1,4‐bis(trimethylsilyl)butadiyne (BTMSBD) with arylazides. The transformation, which takes place by sequential desilylation/cyclization steps, produces the corresponding bis‐1,2,3‐triazoles in moderate to excellent yields. A Pd‐catalyzed intramolecular oxidative CC coupling reaction has been developed to convert the 1,1′‐biaryl‐5,5′‐bis‐1,2,3‐triazoles to the respective 3H ‐bis‐1,2,3‐triazoloquinolines.
