Blueberries contain antioxidants, anthocyanins and flavonoids, which are useful in maintaining a healthy lipid profile and inflammation. Evidence of use of beetroot for reducing blood pressure, improving exercise capacity, blueberry extract for a lipid profile and vascular function. Various studies have been released that have said there are synergies when they're combined. More research is needed to establish which formulations are most likely to be useful, and to understand the mechanisms that will be used in clinical practice when managing CVD.
