Introduction
There are limited options for multiply relapsed/refractory (R/R) Waldenström Macroglobulinaemia (WM) post Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors (BTKi). The synergy of venetoclax and rituximab (Ven‐R) may improve the poor outcomes with venetoclax monotherapy.
Methods
A retrospective analysis was conducted of four patients treated with Ven‐R.
Results
All patients were refractory to covalent BTKi and had received 4–7 prior therapies. Three patients achieved a very good partial response. Treatment was lifesaving in one, facilitating reduction in plasmapheresis and improved cytopenias.
Conclusion
We demonstrate meaningful responses to Ven‐R in R/R WM, supporting a rationale for prospective clinical trials of this combination.
