Sriparna Guha, Anirban Mandal, Sandeep Poddar, Fedric Kujur

Abstract

Across the globe, handicrafts have been validating cultures, identities and traditions that have been present in the modern world. At the same time, the craftsmen who are a part of the process of manufacturing the product not only validate themselves on the capability of manufacturing the product but also sustain their culture, heritage and tradition. The case study would revolve around the process of preserving cultural heritage crafts with the aid of sustainable business practices with the help of advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-based explanations. The research would be carried out as compensation for the rigorous qualitative case study to perceive four different handicraft cultures. This would include Pattachitra paintings from India, Dokra metal casting from India, Moroccan carpets from Morocco and Talavera from Mexico. Based on the research carried out, it has been identified that with the aid of AI for design invention, quality declaration, prediction analysis and digital storytelling with sustainable business practices, companies can sustain their attractiveness.
