ShpaginObesity represents one of the most serious global health problems, with its prevalence increasing worldwide. In the Russian Federation, the number of patients diagnosed with obesity has increased from 1.2 million in 2010 to 2.2 million in 2022. Moreover, obesity is one of the leading factors in the development of anterior abdominal wall hernias and represents a certain difficulty in determining surgical treatment tactics. To date, there are many opinions and approaches in the treatment of obesity in conjunction with primary ventral hernia, however, there is no single algorithm for the choice of surgical technique. The aim of this paper is to analyze the available literature on the tactics of surgical treatment of patients with primary small anterior abdominal wall hernia on the background of obesity.
