The emergence and global spread of viruses underscore the critical requirement for timely and accurate detection technologies. Traditional methods, while effective, often face limitations with respect to rapidity, sensitivity, and accessibility. Ongoing research into sensor-based techniques is transforming the landscape of diagnostics by offering real-time, portable, and highly sensitive platforms capable of early-stage identification and detection of viruses. These improvements span a broad range of technologies. Moreover, the integration of artificial intelligence and data analysis enhances the precision and predictive capabilities of these detection systems. Continued interdisciplinary efforts are necessary to refine sensor performance, ensure scalability, and facilitate deployment in medical applications. As virus threats evolve, so too must the detection strategies; sustained innovation in sensor technologies is key to bolstering global health preparedness and response.
