Background:
The Gram-negative, spiral-shaped
Objectives:
This study aimed to measure the serum levels of human leukocyte antigen (HLA-C) and HLA (DRB1) among patients with
Materials and Methods:
A total of 250 specimens were obtained for this case–control investigation (blood and stool). Of these, 200 specimens were from patients who were hospitalized at the Merjan Medical City Hospital in Babylon Province’s gastrointestinal and hepatology center, and 50 specimens as healthy controls.
Results:
After comparing the blood levels of HLA-C and HLA-DRB1 in sick groups with those in healthy groups, the study’s findings demonstrated that there was a significant difference (
Conclusion:
The current investigation suggests that HLA-C is one of the things that makes stomach ulcer sufferers more susceptible to infections. That might put them in danger. On the other hand, HLA-DRB1 protects against bacterial infection.
