Study and Realization of a Light Version of the Aaron Stove

One of the main causes of deforestation in Sub-Saharan Africa is the massive use of wood as a fuel for cooking. To address this problem, a pellet gasifier was designed and built. To eliminate wood consumption, the pellets used are produced from agricultural residues. To make the gasifier more economical, a redesign was carried out to produce the unit with less material. Starting from the original stove, certain parts were reduced and the gasification results were verified. The final result is a stove produced with 45% less material, with efficiency only dropping by 3%. Future developments of the project include the regulation of primary and secondary air access and the study of a biomass chip-fueled gasifier.
