Student scientific society in the structure of developing research competence of future specialists in the field of physical education and sports
Alisa Gorbacheva, Tat'yana Levchenkova, Alisa SudakovaAccording to the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education, research competence is an integral component of professional training of personnel for the field of physical education and sports. The traditional forms of work established in the educational process do not allow students to fully develop the complex of necessary research skills: to build systemic research thinking, to master the techniques of scientific inquiry, and to develop a sustained interest in research activity. This creates a contradiction between the growing requirements of the normative and professional environment and the insufficiently active use of extracurricular educational formats for the formation of research competence in students. The student scientific society as a form of extracurricular activity of students plays an important role in organizing the research activity (RA) of students and becomes a tool that creates the necessary conditions for the formation of research competence of future specialists. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the effectiveness of an experimental program of activity of the student scientific society as a means of forming research competence of bachelor's students at universities of physical education and sports. Research methods. The work employed methods of analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature on the research topic, questionnaires, pedagogical testing, a pedagogical experiment, and methods of mathematical statistics. Research results and conclusions. The leading motives encouraging 2nd-year students of universities of physical education and sports to participate in research activity were identified. An experimental program for the formation of research competence of bachelor's students within the framework of the activity of the student scientific society (SSS) was developed, based on a three-component model of research competence, which includes knowledge, practical, and value components. The implementation of the program made it possible to increase the level of formation of research competence for all participants of the experiment.
