Structure sensitivity of Cu/CeO 2 catalysts unraveled by combined Raman and UV-vis modulation excitation spectroscopy

Transient Raman and UV-vis modulation excitation spectroscopy (MES) reveal lower stability of Cu 2+ species and peroxides on low-loaded Cu/CeO 2 (111) polyhedra and sheets, leading to higher CO oxidation activity than Cu/CeO 2 [(110) + (100)] rods.
