Structural-functional model of integrating physical education and sports events into the process of preparing children aged 6–7 to fulfill the stage I standards of the GTO

Marina Snigur

The article examines the problem of improving the readiness of preschoolers aged 6–7 years to meet the standards of the first stage of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" (GTO). The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate a structural-functional model for the integration of physical culture and sports activities into the process of preparing children aged 6–7 years to meet the standards of the first stage of the GTO Complex, which contributes to improving the level of their physical fitness. Research methods. The pedagogical experiment was based on a set of methods: theoretical analysis and synthesis of literary sources, pedagogical observation, pedagogical testing, and methods of mathematical statistics. Research results and conclusions. The study conducted a pedagogical experiment, during which a structural-functional model for the integration of physical culture and sports activities into the preparation process was substantiated. This model contributes not only to achieving the target levels of physical fitness necessary for successfully meeting the GTO standards, but also to forming a sustainable interest in systematic physical education. The article presents the results of the pedagogical experiment, confirming the feasibility of applying this model.
